Garuda (Garba Rujukan Digital) adalah portal penemuan referensi ilmiah Indonesia yang merupakan titik akses terhadap karya ilmiah yang dihasilkan oleh akademisi dan peneliti Indonesia. Garuda yang mencakup antara lain e-journal domestik, tugas akhir mahasiswa, dan laporan penelitian dikembangkan oleh Direktorat P2M-Dikti Depdiknas bekerjasama dengan PDII-LIPI serta berbagai perguruan tinggi dalam hal penyediaan konten.

The Biodiversity Heritage Library (BHL), the digitization component of the Encyclopedia of Life, is a consortium of 12 major natural history museum libraries, botanical libraries, and research institutions organized to digitize, serve, and preserve the legacy literature of biodiversity. The European Commission’s eContentPlus program has recently funded the BHL-Europe project, with 22 institutions, to assemble the European language literature. In addition, negotiations are being pursued with the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Atlas of Living Australia and contacts in Japan, India, and Russia to join the BHL consortium. These projects will work together to share content, protocols, services, and digital preservation practices.Prior to digitization, the resources housed within each BHL institution have existed in isolation, available only to those with physical access to the collections. These collections are of exceptional value because the domain of systematic biology depends – more than any other science – upon historic literature. Consequently, the relative isolation of these collections presented an antiquated obstacle to further biodiversity investigation. This problem is particularly acute for the developing countries that are home to the majority of the world’s biodiversity.

Program Reintroduksi Orangutan Sumatera, program kerjasama antara Balai KSDA Jambi, Balai Taman Nasional Bukit Tigapuluh dengan Frankfurt Zoological Society, saat ini membuka kesempatan sukarelawan (volunteer) kepada para lulusan S1 Biologi/Kehutanan maupun mahasiswa S1 Biologi/Kehutanan yang telah menyelesaikan ujian akhir skripsi dari berbagai Perguruan Tinggi se-Indonesia.

Kegiatan volunteer ini diikuti oleh volunteer selama 3 bulan di dalam stasiun reintroduksi orangutan sumatera didalam hutan hujan tropika Jambi yang berbatasan dengan TN Bukit Tigapuluh. Program volunteer ini bertujuan untuk mencari kandidat Manajer Stasiun dan Botanist melalui pemberian penilaian tentang minat, kualitas kerja, social hubungan kerja dan lainnya yang akan ditempatkan di dalam stasiun reintroduksi setelah program volunteer ini selesai.  Selama volunteer, FZS akan memberikan uang saku Rp. 850.000,- / bulan yang akan diberikan setelah volunteer berhasil menyelesaikan program volunteernya dalam waktu 3 bulan, serta biaya transportasi Pulang-Pergi dan akomodasi.

Surat lamaran, CV lengkap dengan referensi dan foto terakhir (berwarna), Ijazah/surat keterangan dari akademik bagi mahasiswa yang sudah menyelesaikan ujian akhir skripsi, Transkip nilai, Sertifikat, Surat keterangan berbadan sehat. Lamaran sudah harus diterima paling lambat 1 bulan setelah pengumuman ini (03 februari-03 Maret 2010).  Hanya kandidat yang memenuhi syarat yang akan dihubungi untuk wawancara via telephone.

Latar Belakang : Kedatangan kedua peneliti tersebut adalah dalam rangka kerjasama riset internasional Exchange Program for Conservation Genetics of Mangroves. Dr. Erwin R. Ardli (Fabio – UNSOED) bersama satu peneliti mangrove dari P. Sumatera (Yonrizal) serta Dr. Bayu Adjie (Kebun Raya Bali – LIPI) akan mewakili Indonesia dalam International Workshop for Conservation Genetics of Mangroves yang akan dilaksanakan pada bulan Februari 2010 di University of Ryukyus. Kerjasama ini juga merupakan implementasi dari rintisan kerjasama joint/double degree antara Graduate School of Science Chiba University dengan Program Studi Magister Biologi Pascasarjana UNSOED.

Para pengguna komputer tentu pernah jengkel dengan hilangnya file atau folder karena aktifitas virus di komputer atau di flashdisc. Meskipun virus sudah berhasil kita hilangkan dengan antivirus tapi file dan folder yang dihilangkan si virus tidak muncul juga. Jangan panik,karena file dan folder tersebut mungkin hanya disembunyikan oleh si virus.

Bagaimana caranya…?

Nah coba ketik ATTRIB /? di MS-DOS untuk memunculkan seluruh perintah ATTRIB yang tersedia.

Cara membuka MS-DOS :
Klik Start > Run (ketik cmd dan klik Run)
Klik Start > Programs > Accesories > Command Prompt / MS-DOS

C:\>ATTRIB /?

Maka akan muncul beberapa opsi ATTRIB seperti berikut:

Contoh :

Flashdisc terbaca sebagai drive G dengan beberapa file dan folder disembunyikan oleh virus.

Ketik  G: untuk merubah drive ke flashdisc drive

C:\>G:

Ketik ATTRIB -S -H /S /D * untuk merubah attribute pada drive G, menghilangkan attribute file-system (-S), menghilangkan attribute hidden (-H), menjalankan proses untuk semua file pada semua folder dan subfolder(/S), menjalankan proses untuk semua folder.

G:\>ATTRIB -S -H /S /D *

Setelah itu cek file atau folder yang hilang mungkin mereka sudah muncul kembali. Selamat mencoba, semoga bermanfaat.

Anda pengguna baru Office 2007, dan anda bingung dengan layout menunya? Untuk anda yang terbiasa dengan Office 2003 pasti mengalami hal tersebut. Menjengkelkan bukan. Kalau anda susah menerima tantangan untuk terbiasa dengan layout menu Office 2007, dan ingin menu klasik Office 2003 pada Office 2007, ada jalan keluarnya kok.

Caranya :

1. Unduh file menuKlasik.zip disini [ Download ]
2. Ekstrak file zip tersebut (misal : dekstop)
3. Ada 3 file; Excel Menu-2003, PowerPoint Menu-2003, dan Words Menu-2003.
4. Copy masing-masing file sesuai dengan directory startup-nya, setelah dicopy, buka (open) file tersebut (double-click) dan menu klasik akan muncul di tab Add-Ins. Dibawah ini contoh path directory pada Windows 7.
